360° camera
Dome camera with continuous panning and 24× zoom, installed on the enclosure's pole.
The camera usually found on site today covers part of the enclosure and does not detect anyone approaching. This one covers the enclosure and its approaches, patrolling continuously in any direction.
Under the DORI standard, it can identify a person at 220 metres, recognise them at 440, observe general detail at 873 and detect presence at 2,200. On that scale, an enclosure 7 metres to a side is barely a dot.
With heating and demisting: in Patagonia, a camera without them goes blind for half the winter.
Panning is continuous and does not depend on anyone watching.
